For those like me who are trying to upgrade to version 7.ane (firmare 41.x) - past downloading with Xperifirm and trying to use Flashtool - note that Flashtool (As at this posting) needs to be updated to accept this new version (41) added in the devices configuration..
A work around is to download a 39 version for a CDA which already received the OTA upgrade to 41, so that yous change the CDA of your phone to the 1 which already received the OTA update, then your phone will automatically become the latest 41 version via OTA update...
in plain english:
Today in that location is Customized FR version 41.ii.A.2.199 bachelor however my device is non on this CDA and so it does non get OTA update. Then I googled F8132_39.2.A.0.374_1302-9341_Customized-FR FTF (Note the 39 in the filename)(there might be a newer F8132_39_xxxx available ) - Flashed my phone with this version using flashtool (This worked considering this is version 39.X not 41.X which is not compatible on flashtool yet for our model)... then my phone could see the OTA update to 7.i (had to upgrade to 7.0 something showtime)
My telephone is non rooted or unlocked.

Weird. I tried to wink the Customized RU with FlashTool and it had bug processing userdata.sin. I had to use the Xperia Companion to recover my device.

Your flashtool might need an update.

Simply purchased my X perfomance, and really disapointed well-nigh the battery life.
Hoping to meet some improvements in the finalization of Nougat.

This is fine and dandy but ane problem... If yous have a custom kernel... Sony OTA updates dont work... at all.......
So the remedy would be to wait for somebody to update the flashtool so it works with the latests firmware that just released...:fingers-crossed:

Better to continue hither with your event, not really kernel related at the moment
